Meet The Team

Julie Myers

PRESIDENT & CEO

A skilled problem-solver and relationship-builder, President and CEO Julie Myers has led Consortia Aerospace Group adeptly since 2004. She first joined the company in 2000 as Vice President of Finance. After several years of project management and heavy involvement in multiple certification programs, her role expanded to the oversight and leadership of Consortia Aerospace Group, including business development and market expansion.

Prior to this, Julie worked in the finance industry, specializing in commercial lending and management of a large bank. Here, she became a proficient planner and executor, which prepared her well for future work. Julie is a graduate of the University of North Carolina – Wilmington with a Bachelor of Science in Finance. Julie is a licensed private pilot and animal lover. She enjoys traveling and volunteers extensively on behalf of children with autism and the animal rescue and sanctuary started by she and her husband in 2020.

Charles ‘Chuck’ Myers

VICE PRESIDENT, Chief Operating Officer

Chuck Myers is the Vice President of Technical Services and the engineering genius behind Consortia Aerospace Group. An out-of-the-box problem solver and visionary, Chuck brings more than two decades of aviation experience and more than 16,000 hours of flying time as a former United States Air Force Captain and graduate of the USAF Academy. Over the years, he has developed extremely successful relationships with most airlines, avionics, aircraft manufacturers, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). In addition, during the past 25 years, he has been directly involved in underwriting, designing, and certifying STC’s (Supplemental Type Certificates) for the FAA. His expertise as a pilot, mechanic, Designated Airworthiness Representative (DAR), and Designated Engineering Representative (DER) authorizations, combined with these relationships, makes him an ideal leader for Consortia Aerospace Group. Chuck is a licensed ATP with type ratings in the Boeing 707 and Cessna Citation Series Aircraft. A committed animal lover, Chuck also enjoys being outside and fishing.

Tom Nelson

DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Tom Nelson is an aviation geek with a passion for military aircraft, especially those circa WWII. He brings more than 35 years of commercial aviation experience to his position as Director of Business Development at CAGAero. Tom started with United Airlines, working Inflight, Emergency Procedures Consortia Aerospace Group, and Aircraft Interiors. Later, he trained the cabin crew for the first full-scale evacuation of the B777. He also worked on crew rest facility upgrades, new aircraft interiors, galley configurations, and the international fleet upgrade to the first-generation, first-class, lie-flat seat. With Aircell/Gogo, Tom served as Program Manager for the Delta program; he later transitioned to managing all regional aircraft programs and was promoted to Director. Tom earned a psychology degree from Western Illinois University. He says his little slice of heaven is attending EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh every summer.

Bryant Stewart

DIRECTOR OF QUALITY ASSURANCE

Bryant Stewart brings more than 28 years of experience in the aviation industry to his position as Director of Quality Assurance at Consortia Aerospace Group, a position he has held since 2006. Beginning his career in 1993 with the USAF, Bryant served as a maintenance crew chief on EF-111 and F-15 aircraft. After being honorably discharged in 1997, he worked as an aircraft mechanic/inspector for the next nine years on everything from small Cessna aircraft to large Boeing aircraft. Since being at Consortia Aerospace Group, he has maintained the PMA quality system, an approval granted by the FAA. Bryant also assisted with prototype engineering and served as in-service support for customers. He is an A&P mechanic with Inspection Authorization, a manufacturing DAR, and a multi-engine commercial pilot.

Bruce Metzger

DIRECTOR, AIRLINE LIAISON & LABOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Our Airline Liaison & Labor Business Development Director Bruce Metzger has been an aviation professional for 30+ years. He oversees all U.S. Wi-Fi and in-seat power installations on regional jets, completing 150+ installations annually. He also provides technical and engineering support to airline customers for all of Consortia Aerospace Group’s product lines. Early in his career, as an interiors engineer, he provided oversight for large projects such as the overhead bin extension program on MD-88 and B757. The results of this can still be seen on aircraft today. Other important roles include an ETOPS certified Line Maintenance Technician on the International Concourse of Atlanta Hartsfield and Maintenance Program Manager; engineering support to the Parts Integration Program for Pre-Merger Delta Airlines and Pre-Merger Northwest Airlines; Manager of Project Engineering for TeamSAI M&E Solutions, where he managed an A320 Induction/Interior Reconfiguration program for Frontier Airlines as well as a successful operational data migration project for Southern Airlines for B747-B777 aircraft.

Carey O’Kelley

DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING

Carey O’Kelley brings more than 13 years of experience in FAA STC certification and project management to his role as Director of Engineering with Consortia Aerospace Group. He has extensive knowledge of transport category aircraft, air carrier operations, and FAA repair station operations. He gained this experience during his 16-year tenure working for a large US air carrier as an aerospace engineer. Carey also gained experience in the certification of PMA parts during his tenure with the Aircraft Certification Service at the Atlanta ACO. He earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and is currently an FAA Authorized DER in the areas of Airframe Structural, Repair Specification, Cabin Safety, and Flammability.

Diana Van Hout

ADMINISTRATION & OFFICE MANAGER

With more than 38 years of administrative experience in office management, human resources, and accounting, Diana Van Hout brings great expertise to her current role with Consortia Aerospace Group. She assists in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures; assists with the administration of HR policies, programs, and practices within the company; and manages and oversees accounts payable and receivable. Diana was born and raised in upstate New York and moved to South Carolina in 2013. In her spare time, she loves being near the ocean, boating, taking care of animals, and letting her poodle bark orders to her.

Nicholas Lukso

Senior Battery Engineer

Born and raised in Tucson AZ, Nick graduated from Pima Community College with an Associates in Mechanical Engineering in 2014. He has been working in the Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering fields since he was 12 years old. Starting at my family’s machine shop as a draftsman and working my way to manufacturing and mechanical engineering positions. Nick’s background experience also extends to the medical device industry, working on the Total Artificial Heart and its supporting driver systems. This experience with driver systems were complex systems involving pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and electronic technologies and helped build a strong multi-disciplined engineering foundation. Nick is a hands-on engineer who’s not afraid of difficult problems and enjoys deriving unique solutions to get the job done.

Rick Lukso

Battery Technician

Rick is a bit of a jack of all trades, including engineering technician (assembly and test), shipping and receiving and facilities management. As a technician, Rick assists in the development and assembly of prototype, test and production PCB,s and unit assemblies. Working at J.E.T. (Jet Electronics & Technologies), Gates Learjet and Lux Aviation provided him knowledge in the aviation technical field. Owning a business (Sound Speaker Repair) and setting up facilities for Lux Aviation provided valuable experience in facility management and shipping and receiving. Rick is a steady tireless worker who’s can do and positive attitude are a great contribution to any team. For fun Rick likes to hike, fly fish and go on motorcycle adventures. Rick and his wife of 41 years like to do activities with there granddaughter.
